Find tools and add an event or task

  1. Tap the floating hamburger button labeled Schedule tools to open the tools drawer.

On mobile web, find Tasks and Notes under Planning in Schedule tools.
  2. On your own schedule, choose Add → Event or Task to open its editor.

  3. Fill in the editor, then select Create event or Save task. The event appears at its chosen time; the task is available in your private Tasks list.

Tap outside the Add menu or press Escape to dismiss it without creating anything. Invited editors use Add to open the event editor directly; the owner’s private Tasks and Notes are unavailable to collaborators.

Return to Schedule tools for Settings and Appearance under Customize. In your own schedule, mobile web has Tasks and Notes under Planning; with Android’s bottom toolbar, they are in the View section, below the View submenu.

With Android’s bottom toolbar, open Schedule tools and choose Home screen widget under Share & export. Previewing is free; adding the widget requires Pro.

Read notices and use Notes

Notices appear at the bottom of the screen. If several notices are expanded on a short screen, scroll through them to reach their actions or close buttons.

In your own schedule, open Schedule tools → Planning → Notes on mobile web. With Android’s bottom toolbar, open Schedule tools and choose Notes in the View section. On very narrow screens, Notes fills the screen and has no expand control. Where expand/shrink is available, Escape first shrinks expanded Notes; otherwise it closes Notes.

Choose a view and move between days

  • On mobile web, use the switches in the View section of Schedule tools. With Android’s bottom toolbar, open Schedule tools → View first. Choose List view or Grid view; the control shows the alternative you can switch to.
  • Vertical schedules default to one day at a time on a phone. Select Weekly view to show the week or Daily view to show one day; your explicit choice overrides the mobile default.
  • In a daily view, use the arrows beside the day header to move between visible days.
  • Horizontal schedules do not use the automatic one-day mobile default. Use Horizontal layout or Vertical layout to change orientation, and Daily view or Weekly view to choose the calendar view.

Edit and move events with touch

Tap an editable event to open its editor. Select Save changes or choose a linked-day scope beside the save button. Synced calendar events are read-only; change them in their original calendar.

In Grid view, press and hold an event briefly before dragging it to a new day or time. To change its length, press and hold its resize handle before moving it. The short hold distinguishes editing from normal scrolling.

Tap a task to open its editor and choose Save task when finished. Closing a task with unsaved changes asks you to Keep editing or Discard changes; discarding loses those edits.

Import a file or connect a calendar

Choose Schedule tools → Import schedule, then From a file if import options appear. In the import dialog, drop one file into the file area, or click it to browse and select a file. For calendar setup on the web, choose Schedule tools → Calendar import & sync; on Android, choose Schedule tools → Calendar import & sync → Connect online calendar. To change source, select Cancel, then reopen Import schedule for a file or Calendar import & sync for a calendar. Import is unavailable on schedules where you are an invited collaborator.

Print your schedule

Choose Schedule tools → Print to open the output preview. Choose paper size and orientation there, review every page, then select Print to open the browser or Android print dialog. Direct printing includes events, not private tasks.

Keep your work available

Guest schedules stay in the current browser profile on this device; they do not automatically appear on another phone or computer. Sign in with the same account for cloud-saved schedules across devices, and keep a JSON backup of work you need to recover.
